About

"Overwhelmed, exhausted, stretched thin, burned out, sad, angry.” These are a few of the ways that my clients describe themselves when they first come into my office. Sometimes, it’s because of challenges at work or school, in their marriages, or with their kids. Other times, it’s wounds or trauma from their past that still haunts them. Other times, it’s something especially difficult that they’ve recently gone through, such as a job loss or even the death of a loved one. Still other times, it’s not one big thing, but it’s all the little things piled on top of one another, or maybe they can’t quite put their finger on it, they just know that something’s not right. In my work as a therapist in Columbia, SC, I help adult men, women, and couples from all walks of life who are dealing with depression, anxiety, midlife crises, relationship challenges, and more. Together, we’ll talk through what’s going on in your life and slowly but surely, help you find your footing. I like to think of your sessions with me as a brief oasis for you–a place where you can come where there are no expectations on you except to work on you. A peaceful, quiet place where you can slow down, process what’s been bothering you, and walk out a little more refreshed and restored within yourself and/or with your partner. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean this is easy work or for the faint of heart. Often, slowing down and looking inward or looking your partner in the eyes may be the last thing you want to do, because it means confronting what’s there, or at least what you’re afraid might be there. However, on the other side is inward peace and healing. Don’t put it off any longer. Reach out and let’s talk.
